Our missionsAPN is responsible for :
The supervision of ports activities :
➡️ Planning of the national port development ;
➡️ Spearhead development in consultation with Port Authorities. In Order to foster competitiveness, we use as main tool the National Port Master Plan ;
➡️ The implementation of port safety and security standards, in compliance with relevant national and international regulations.
The regulation of port activities :
➡️ To ensure compliance with competitive rules in the performance of ports activities
➡️ Approving and regulating port services tariffs, in collaboration with relevant administrations ;
➡️ Defining the scheme and framework conditions for the performance of port activities ;
➡️ Issuing opinions on port concession awarded by the Government ;
➡️ Issuing technical opinions on port reform proposals
➡️ Hearing disputes brought before it concerning the port sector
The monitoring and evaluation of port activities
➡️ Participating, where necessary, in negotiating agreement to be signed by The Government in the port sector ;
➡️ Monitoring the implementation of ports regulation as well as port Performances ;
➡️ Monitoring the implementation of the port cost reduction plan ;
➡️ Conducting specific audits in the port sector ;
➡️ Provision of advisory support services to the port sector stakeholders.
APN may carry out any mission entrusted to it by the Government.
