NEW TOP MANAGEMENT AT THE NATIONAL PORT AUTHORITY

Dr Louis EBOUPEKE and Pamela AYUKETAH appointed respectively General Manager and Deputy General Manager were installed on Friday May 21, 2021 in the conference room of the Caisse Autonome d'Amortissement (CAA) by the Minister of Transport. This installation follows the promulgation of presidential decrees N°2021/282 and 2021/283 May 12, 2021. This new management team will have the onerous task of maintaining APN's key position in the national port sector. It was with this in mind that the Minister of Transport emphasized the tasks assigned to Mr Louis EBOUPEKE and Ms Pamela AYUKETAH, in reference to the impetus given by Josué YOUMBA: "You are therefore asked to pursue, with self-sacrifice and rigor, the major projects left by the illustrious deceased, in particular the alignment of legal texts in the maritime sub-sector with current challenges and issues, as well as with sub-regional and international texts. Finally, the development of river transport, the ongoing competitiveness of Cameroon's ports and the launch of construction work on the Limbe deepwater port. These are all projects for which the Government of the Republic attaches the greatest importance".hammered the Transport Minister.

It's worth pointing out that the two appointed managers have the right profile for the job, thanks to their proven experience in public sector management.

"I feel ready to take up the challenges and responsibilities that the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, has kindly bestowed upon me, in order to merit the trust he has placed in my modest person. With this in mind, I believe that the National Port Authority has a bright future ahead of it, thanks to the dynamism that the Deputy Managing Director and I intend to instigate, with the collaboration of all our staff, of course".said the General Manager in front of the press.

Ms Pamela AYUKETAH is a product of Cameroon's public administration, having served as Transport Delegate for the West and Littoral Regions. Above all, she has successfully led several projects in the maritime sub-sector, where she has repeatedly defended Cameroon's interests as representative of the Ministry of Transport.  « I would like to thank the Head of State, H. E Paul BIYA. I have already know this sector of transport and I think that with my experience, I will do my efforts, to achieve the missions that have been entrusted to us. »

Best wishes to the new management team at the head of the National Port Authority.
